EXTREME LOAD CELL PROTECTION
To protect you from costly maintenance downtime, the Eclipse
bench scale design protects the load cell from overloads up to 500% of the scale's
capacity. The design of the free-floating platform protects the load cell with overload
stops at all edges. The subplatform stops most overloads from ever reaching the cell. If
the center shock load is transmitted through the subplatform, the load cell is protected
from the force by internal stops that bottom out. The unique free-floating design of the
subplatform on the Eclipse also protects the load cell from side impact and overload
shocks. Additional protection is provided by the strength of the stainless steel
construction.
DEPENDABLE ACCURACY
Your revenue opportunities will be maximized by the enhanced
accuracy of the Eclipse. This bench scale has been built to meet or exceed the exacting
requirements of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 44, and
has been type evaluated by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP). This is your
assurance that the Eclipse bench scale will deliver highly accurate and repeatable results
over the life of the scale. The durable design means the Eclipse can also take a lot of
abuse without compromising accuracy.
QUICK AND EASY CALIBRATION FOR
NON-COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
The Eclipse arrives at your location pre-calibrated and ready to
use. This scale is front panel programmable to enable operators to make scale adjustments
easily and conveniently. This method of control eliminates the need to remove the back
panel. This saves time and removes the risk of inadvertent damage to the PC board or to
the display.
DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND HARSH
ENVIRONMENTS
From caustic chemical to water wash- down environments, the
Eclipse is capable of handling them all. If your application requires washdown capability,
you will appreciate the open flow design of the Eclipse. The cover is easily removed for
cleaning, exposing the platform's interior. A thorough washdown is fast and easy. The
rugged 'type 304 stainless steel enclosure meets NEMA 4X standards ensuring maximum
protection in the harshest environments.

The Eclipse platform and indicator are designed for general
weighing, check- weighing, filling, manual batching and grading applications when speed,
accuracy and repeatability are essential. The high visibility vacuum fluorescent weight

range of lighting conditions.

FLEXIBLE TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
Custom applications can be accommodated by the versatility of
the Eclipse design. There are three different platform sizes with various capacities and
graduations, two different pillars, and a versatile indicator which can be mounted in a
number of ways. The Eclipse can be equipped with a stain- less steel load cell for
applications requiring washdown capability and corrosion resistance. An aluminum load cell
version allows for even greater workstation design options. And for non-commercial
applications, the Eclipse can be programmed to meet non-commercial graduation sizes.
ZERO AND AUTO-TARE TOGGLE SWITCH
To ensure maximum operator efficiency, the unique placement of
the Eclipse toggle switch allows for quick hand movements to zero or tare the scale. This
feature reduces the maintenance problems that are often caused when operators accidentally
damage the display panel when using a sharp instrument or repeatedly pushing the same
button.
EASY-TO-USE OVER/ACCEPT/UNDER BAR
Three color LED lights give the operator a fast and efficient
"go" or no go" decision. If the product weighs under the font panel's
pre-programmed weight, the yellow light comes on. If the product is within the proper
range, the green light goes on. And the red light signals the operator when the weight is
over. This feature allows operators to work more quickly and accurately.
NON-SLIP CUTTING BOARD ACCESSORY
For portion control applications, the cutting board accessory
will increase operator efficiency. Fairbanks offers a non-slip, USDA accepted, cutting
board to accompany the Eclipse 10" x 10" platform. This accessory, when used
with the indicator mounted on a short, sloped bracket, increases the speed and efficiency
of the trimming process. With the cutting board, the operator can turn on the scale
without damaging the trimming utensils or the scale's platform.
